RESPONSIBILITIES
  •  Financial Reporting & Compliance: Lead the preparation, review, and disclosure of investment data under U.S. GAAP, SAP, and IFRS frameworks.
  •  Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with NAIC statutory reporting requirements, including Schedules D, BA, DB, and related filings.
  •  Portfolio Management: Oversee accounting, valuation, and income recognition for a diverse portfolio (fixed income, structured securities, equities, and alternatives).
  •  Maintain strong internal financial controls and coordinate directly with internal and external auditors.
  •  Interpret and implement new accounting standards and provide technical guidance on complex investment transactions.
  •  Act as the primary liaison between investment accounting, treasury, investment management, and executive leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • · 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (focused on investments)
  • · CPA designation and public accounting experience are highly preferred.
  • · Deep knowledge of NAIC reporting, financial instruments, ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.
  • · Strong analytical problem-solving, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage competing strategic priorities.
