RESPONSIBILITIES
  •  Own and develop the end-to-end property treaty modeling workflow, from data preparation through final loss metrics.
  •  Build, run, and maintain property catastrophe models for treaty reinsurance using vendor platforms (e.g., RMS, AIR, Touchstone).
  •  Ensure accuracy, consistency, and governance of property modeling assumptions, methodologies, and outputs.
  •  Perform model validation, sensitivity testing, and scenario analysis to assess portfolio risk and tail exposure.
  •  Support treaty pricing and structuring, including analysis of retentions, limits, layers, and reinstatements.
  •  Partner with underwriting, actuarial, and portfolio management teams to translate modeling results into actionable insights.
  •  Lead responses to model changes, vendor updates, and methodological enhancements.
  •  Document modeling methodologies, assumptions, and controls to support internal governance and external reviews.
  •  Act as a subject-matter expert for property catastrophe risk across the organization
QUALIFICATIONS
  • · 5+ years of experience.
  • · Hands-on expertise with property CAT vendor models (RMS, AIR, Touchstone, or equivalent).
  • · Proven experience developing and maintaining production-grade modeling workflows.
  • · Strong analytical skills with the ability to explain complex modeling concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • · Experience collaborating with underwriting, pricing, and actuarial teams.
  • · or mentoring junior modelers.
  • · Exposure to portfolio optimization, accumulation management, or capital modeling.
  • · Programming skills in Python, R, SQL, or similar for automation and workflow enhancement.
  • · Prior experience in a reinsurer, broker, or specialty carrier environment.
