RESPONSIBILITIES
  • · Set the strategic direction for the Data Science Lab
  • · Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data scientists
  • · Act as a senior advisor to executives on AI strategy, progress, and risk
  • · Position company as a leader in responsible and scalable AI adoption
  • · Identify and evaluate emerging AI/ML technologies and industry trends
  • · Collaborate with academic and industry partners on applied research
  • · Translate advanced AI/ML research into practical, enterprise-ready solutions
  • · Develop patentable methods and innovation assets
  • · Lead experimentation and validation of ML techniques in real-world insurance use cases
  • · Build and scale capabilities in deep learning, LLMs, NLP, and generative AI
  • · Apply AI to structured and unstructured data
  • · Deliver ML solutions for underwriting, claims automation, and customer service
  • · Establish scalable ML processes, governance, and model lifecycle standards
  • · Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and infrastructure for data science teams
  • · Lead proof-of-concept initiatives for new data, tools, and technologies
  • · Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver AI-driven solutions
  • · Standardize data science best practices across the enterprise
  • · Represent company as a data science and AI leader in internal and external forums
QUALIFICATIONS
  • · 8+ years of hands-on ML development and modeling experience
  • ·
  • · Deep expertise in deep learning, LLMs, NLP, and distributed ML systems
  • ·
  • · Strong Python skills (PyTorch and/or TensorFlow)
  • ·
  • · Experience leading and mentoring teams of data scientists
  • ·
  • · Proven ability to deliver AI/ML solutions at scale in regulated environments
