RESPONSIBILITIES
  • · Oversee valuation aspects of LTC line of business
  • · Support new business activities on LTC products
  • · Lead ad-hoc projects within the valuation team
  • · Manage actuarial students and relationships with external consultants
  • · Lead maintenance and execution of modeling reporting systems
  • · Review tools and analyses to understand financial impact drivers from inforce data across reporting cycles
  • · Guide the team through complex business problems and modeling details
  • · Review quarterly valuation and financial reporting results for IFRS, SII, and local Stat reporting frameworks across multiple entities
  • · Oversee preparation of financial projections for strategic and financial planning
  • · Lead integration of new deal activity into the valuation and financial reporting process
  • · Set and review valuation assumptions
  • · Implement strategic plans
  • · Collaborate with other departments for risk evaluation, inforce management actions, deal review, and new deal onboarding
  • · Conduct in-depth analysis of results and identify key issues
  • · Review main controls
  • · Analyze results to assess business profitability
  • · Communicate results to both actuaries and non-actuaries
  • · Collaborate across various teams within the US organization and beyond
  • · Assist external reviewers (e.g., auditors) independently
  • · Effectively manage internal and external resources (e.g., consultants)

QUALIFICATIONS
  • · FSA or ASA
  • · Valuation or Financial Reporting experience
  • · Living benefits product knowledge
  • · Modeling experience
