RESPONSIBILITIES
  • lead the actuarial unit within a very collaborative and growing reinsurance broking team
  • Assist in building databases and reporting tools.
  • Work with the actuarial team to develop stochastic models and perform reinsurance optimization analyses in order to evaluate and compare different reinsurance pricings and strategies.
  • Assist in special projects and research efforts of the actuarial team.
  • Act as a technical resource for Brokers and Account Managers where needed.
  • Assist with the production of high quality presentations, submissions and documentation.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the client’s business, as part of developing tailor-made solutions to assist the Account Handlers.
  • Canadian and international treaty business as well as MGA/delegated underwriting authority business for P&C lines.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
  • First-class interpersonal skills including relationship building and organization.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management, organization and prioritization skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Additional experience in SQL, R, Python an advantage.
