RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Traditional Reinsurance Quotes and Special Blocks of Business:
  • Evaluate and propose reinsurance solutions tailored to a client’s request
  • Analyze client and industry data to recommend appropriate pricing assumptions and rates
  • that meet corporate pricing objectives
  • Develop pricing models using GGY Axis to analyze the profitability of reinsurance
  • opportunities
  • Present your pricing analysis and results to Senior Management
  • Ensure adequate model controls, and suitable documentation of results and processes.
  • Participate actively in the review of actuarial assumptions and methods of pricing
  • Analyze internal and industry experience studies and seek, if necessary, the additional
  • external data that would be useful in the development of assumptions and rates
  • • Support the reporting of high-level risk management indicators (KRIs, KPIs, etc.)
  • Product and Assumption Development:
  • Support the development of niche reinsurance products
  • Participate in the evaluation of strategic partnerships with various industry vendors
  • (technology startups, big data, etc.)
  • Support client audits to ensure that internal and regulatory processes are followed
  • Suggest recommendations on audit-driven remedial actions, if necessary
  • Provide actuarial support to internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in group discussions and brainstorming sessions with clients
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3-5 years of relevant actuarial experience in a life (re)insurance setting
  • Completed 3 or more SOA exams with a commitment to pursue FSA designation
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
  • Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of GGY AXIS
  • Experience with SQL, R, Python, or any other coding language experience is an asset
  • ->SALARY: 120-135k
