RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Extract data as required for project analysis or analysis of our book of business using business intelligence tools or programming language
  • Based on an analysis of data and insurance business knowledge, compile and present insightful stories to explain broad business situations
  • Document detailed business requirements including data, security, Dashboards, Visual Insight and Self Service reporting requirements.
  • Construct, test, reconcile and document business intelligence solutions.
  • Advanced and efficient in using programming language and business intelligence tools.
  • Understand, develop, maintain and improve predictive statistical models used in business intelligence.
  • Measure and document the performance of statistical models used in business intelligence.
  • Decide the appropriate type of model to be used for a business intelligence problem between a variety of common models
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7 years of relevant experience.
  • University Degree in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent technical experience.
  • Exposure to the use of job-related applications, appliances and programming languages (SAS, SQL, Netezza, MicroStrategy) is an asset.
  • Knowledge in Data Warehouse concepts, ELT/ETL process is an asset.
  • Ability to investigate the code and experience in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures is an asset.
