  • Supports the design, pricing and/or valuation of insurance products
  • Supports the development of administrative procedures and guidelines for new/existing products
  • Performs data reconciliations, benefit calculations and asset reconciliations
  • Develops and distributes management information
  • Supports and completes various research projects
  • Completes various industry surveys
  • Completion of a university degree with courses in mathematics, economics and/or business
  • 3 - 5 years work experience in the insurance/financial services industry, at least two of which must be in an actuarial role
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, email and internet
  • Completion of a minimum of three exams through the Society of Actuaries
  • Ability to learn and apply actuarial applications (AXIS, APL/VB)
  • Group Insurance pricing is an asset
  • Well-developed mathematical skills
  • Ability to conduct research and analysis
  • Attention to detail/accuracy
  • Well-developed organizational skills
  • Clear writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks or projects
