RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as an advisor, delivering a coherent and compelling narrative after drawing insights and conclusions from actuarial analyses.
  • Consult with brokers on client needs and advise on reinsurance program alternatives based on risk tolerances and industry trends
  • Build reinsurance structure analyses that assess and reflect a wide range of risks and exposures, articulate assumptions, describe outcomes, and compare and contrast alternatives
  • Evaluate and communicate reinsurance-related risk by interrogating data, performing experience and exposure rating, and understanding the drivers of the result
  • Continuously seek more efficient ways to complete client projects; Take part in or lead internal initiatives, offering ideas and feedback to improve outcomes as well as to help develop company’s thought leadership and industry expertise.
  • Act as a mentor/advisor to junior colleagues and seek advice/mentorship from senior colleagues in order to constantly keep learning.
  • Promote our team-oriented and highly collaborative culture by building strong relationships based on mutual respect.
  • Serve as a client advisor, where appropriate, proposing actuarial services to clients and or their brokers based on their current and future risk management needs
  • Expand client relationships and services beyond reinsurance transactions to drive business development
  • Direct teams that build models to assess risk and develop strategies for a range of risk exposures
  • Support seamless client delivery by managing actuarial product scope, deadlines, and delivery
  • Communicate resource, deadline, and project needs to assist other departments in the management of our collective product offerings
  • Communicate strategically with brokers, re-insurers, and clients in anticipation of client needs
QUALIFICATIONS
  • FCAS with 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • The ability to learn, adapt, and problem-solve.
  • Excellent communication skills, a teamwork orientation, and an advisory mindset
  • An orientation to lead the actuarial analysis as a part of a client account team.
  • The desire to collaborate with and celebrate people of all cultures and backgrounds.
