RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Help to achieve organizational business development goals by organizing and participating in select client visits and events and industry events
  • Help develop and execute client-specific strategies
  • Communicate customer’s needs, expectations and limitations to rest of the team
  • Participate in all quote reviews and help with the final quote positioning with the client
  • Conduct primary research of clients and competitors
  • Serve on relevant committees to maximize market presence, to raise its market awareness and to further build relationships with clients by focusing on important emerging issues
  • Other projects and duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A qualified Actuary (FSA) with at least 10 years of Life or Health (re-)insurance experience
  • Bilingual - excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French
  • A knowledge of mortality and/or morbidity risks, distribution and product structures
  • Working knowledge of emerging regulations such as LICAT and IFRS 17
  • Experience in the AXIS actuarial projection system is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and willing to rise to new challenges.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-identification and resolution skills.
