RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for data preparation and processing for modelling and data science projects. Lead the team to create modelling dataset, detect outliers and missing values, conduct peer review and optimization.
  • Provide training and coaching to other teams on database, programming and visualization techniques etc.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects related to documentation, scripts/code of optimization, automation and Server maintenance.
  • Strong experience mentoring and managing other team members, ensuring data engineering best practices are being followed
  • Provide input to the departments’ strategic and tactical plans and directions.
  • Ensure the appropriate technology resourcing and support for the team.
  • Manage and direct the effective implementation of new data uses, access technologies and the utilization of existing systems.
  • Lead projects involving high level of coordination among departments and business areas.
  • Build cross-functional relationships with team members and various departments to understand data needs and deliver on those needs.
  • Work cross functionally to build an advanced data platform that support 360 degree view of the customer that enables customer journey analysis and use cases including but not limited to attribution modeling, CLV modeling, propensity modeling, etc.
  • Previous experience in product manager in support of our product within the Data Enablement product suite including
  • Develop and maintain the Product Backlog
  • Participate and lead, where necessary, day-to-day Agile Scrum ceremonies
  • Lead communications
  • Feature and story writing
  • Managing, track and measure product efficiency and effectiveness
QUALIFICATIONS
  • MSc in Data Management or Computer Science is desired.
  • SAS and SQL expertise is required along with knowledge of data management and modelling data, software, hardware and tools.
  • 5 years of managing data and analytics systems.
  • 5 years of managing and developing/coaching teams
  • Knowledge and experience on database design and architect
  • Actuarial Knowledge & Techniques
  • Programming Skills: SAS/SQL/HIVE/ SAS/SQL/R/Python
  • Expert on office software including Excel/ VBA /PDF
  • Visualization Techniques: Tableau/SAS/SQL
  • Familiar with the concepts of Exploratory Data Analysis;
  • Knowledge and experience in data mining and data model: C
  • Lustering & segmentation techniques;
  • Descriptive/Inferential Statistics
  • Automation/Scheduling;
  • Knowledge and experience on process flow and process improvement methodologies and concepts.
  • Ability to collaborate with executives, directors, peers and subordinates to reach goals
  • Very strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to explain information in a well thought-out, logical and effective manner is essential
  • Interpreting motives, drives and needs in others is an important skill requirement
  • Must exhibit sound judgement and decision-making ability
