RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct analysis and modeling, including target setting, monitoring and reporting in a streamlined and digital way. Support the implementation and translation of strategy in concrete underwriting actions, with impact to pricing, volatility steering and risk accumulation
  • Participate in the discovery and capture of data requirements from business stakeholders, translate business requirements into a working code. Drive solutions based on business problems
  • Based on field feedback design and build product offerings that allow to answer key questions with data and provide actionable underwriting insights
  • Integrate the data from multiple sources and systems into a stable and extensible pipeline
  • Operationalize data analytics tools by guiding and mentoring business users to become self-sufficient practitioners.
  • Proactively provide training and support
  • Research new tools and technologies to ensure flexibility and efficiency of the target architecture
QUALIFICATIONS
  • You have a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience in data analytics, programming and risk modelling and knowledge of statistical and data science methods
  • At least 3 years of experience in international industrial insurance or reinsurance
  • You have a good understanding of Underwriting and knowledge of underwriting processes and decision-making frameworks
  • Significant international working experience
  • Experience working in agile development environment, managing data and projects using agile methodology
  • Expertise with programming, scripting or statistical packages (Python, R, Matlab, SQL) on Windows and Unix environment. Java is a plus
  • Some visualization/reporting/dashboarding skills (CSS)
  • English: Fluent (able to negotiate)
