RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with business partners and external vendors to implement zone or territory definitions, developing segmentation improvements, communicating enhancements, and recommending solutions for issues
  • Review research findings and building, maintaining, and updating databases with information from various external data sources, including open data and proprietary data and models
  • Transform geospatial data into graphic representations, identifying connections or patterns and analyzing spatial information and imagery for natural catastrophe response and assessments
  • Use machine learning, statistical techniques, and Geographic Information System software to create representations of assets, features, and hazards that account for important attributes and relationships
  • Act as a coach and resource to the team, and proactively sharing knowledge on technical and geospatial topics
QUALIFICATIONS
  • You have six years of experience in Geospatial Analytics or a related field
  • You have a post-secondary degree in Geography, Earth Science, Statistics or a related discipline, with specialization in Geospatial Analysis
  • You have expert level knowledge of cartographic design and geospatial data processing and manipulation
  • You have advanced theoretical understanding of geographical relationships, statistics, machine learning and geostatistical techniques
  • You have strong proficiency with Geographic Information System software, spatial databases, and programming languages such as R, Python and SQL
