RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitoring, analysis and reporting the actual and projected capital position, including risks and opportunities, of selected entities under management
  • Projection of the company’s regulatory capital position using our deterministic and stochastic models
  • Production of internal and external presentations, quarterly and annual Board and Committee reports, including but not limited to the Financial Condition Report, the Internal Capital Adequacy Process Report and Summary Statement
  • Developing and maintenance of a robust and effective capital strategy, plan and roadmap of activities that will optimise company’s ICAAP
  • Preparing reinsurance information preparation for the annual reinsurance renewal placement
  • Monitoring of accumulations and aggregate exposures for Probable Maximum Loss assessment and ensuring reinsurance programme adequacy
  • Preparation and analysing accounting bordereaux and reporting for management and reinsurers.
  • Other regular/adhoc analytics as required, such as support in areas such as reserving and
  • pricing as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Up to two years in an actuarial role
  • General knowledge of insurance/reinsurance and finance, including accounting concepts
  • It is preferable but not essential that you have some experience in capital management or reinsurance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • The ability to work both in a team and autonomously
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets, in particular proficiency in Excel and VBA
  • Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial, Mathematics, Statistics or other quantitative disciplines
  • Completed and currently completing actuarial exams
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Sees opportunities, not problems
  • Not afraid to challenge the status quo
