RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Contributing to various research projects, including developing and testing innovative approaches for modeling insurance risk and delivering predictive analytics solutions to support business partners
  • Developing, maintaining and improving predictive statistical models, including measuring and documenting performance and making recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Working with various databases, programming languages and modeling software to interpret and analyze data and contribute to strategic objectives
  • Enhancing existing business practices and procedures in alignment with emerging trends and best practices in the insurance industry and Actuarial landscape
  • Coaching, training and providing timely feedback and support to team members in order to achieve department objectives
QUALIFICATIONS
  • You have four years of experience in statistics, actuarial or data science
  • You have a post-secondary degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or a related discipline
  • You are proficient with statistical programming languages and have experience working with large data volumes
  • Having experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Actuarial field is an asset
