RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accountable for key pricing process improvements including tools and the adaptation of the company’s new enterprise data mart
  • Providing pricing leadership and expertise in transformational projects
  • Accountable for the developing and maintaining profitability forecasting processes and metrics using data science models
  • Coach staff and act as a technical specialist and mentor for all team members
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders in different teams
  • Research and apply both traditional and innovative ways to apply accepted actuarial techniques to business issues
QUALIFICATIONS
  • FCAS or equivalent
  • 7+ years of personal lines pricing experience or 10+ years of P&C actuarial experience
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build consensus and influence effectively
  • Hands-on as well as managerial experience in scripting/coding including in modern languages like Python and R
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop a team
  • Superior analytical skills with an insatiable desire to probe, question, validate and challenge to ensure accurate and insightful analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
