  • Become a trusted analytical advisor to the company’s non-Auto underwriting/products teams - mainly SME Property, Marine, and Agricultural Equipment lines.
  • Maintain pricing models and analyzes to support profitable growth in these lines.
  • Foster a culture based on collaborative work and data driven decision making.
  • Develop and expand existing data marts and reports for portfolio management and monitoring.
  • Lead and proactively participate in cross-functional and senior management pricing committee meetings.
  • University degree required. Insurance designations desirable
  • 3-4 exams concluded from the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) (or equivalent international actuarial association: UK, South Africa or Australian) highly desirable, or comparable actuarial education/designation combined with at least 5 years of relevant P&C experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with solid understanding of property & casualty actuarial pricing techniques and standards.
  • Knowledge of insurance operations and the procedures of Financial, Underwriting, Claims, and Statistical, Information Technology, Legal, and Sales departments preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to exchange ideas and convey complex information clearly and concisely (verbally and in writing).
  • Flexibility in way of working and ability to adapt to different cultures.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to influence others, set plans, and execute thoroughly.
  • Ability to establish and build effective relationships within and outside the organization.
  • Ability to give effective training to peers and presentations to senior management and other groups.
  • Expert knowledge of Emblem, Radar pricing tools.
  • Expert knowledge of SAS system.
  • Expert knowledge of predictive modelling, with emphasis on GLM.
  • Proficiency in Spanish desirable.
