  • Working closely with other analytical and operational teams to investigate and analyse issues, and to provide analytical results to meet operational business requirements
  • Performing quarterly reviews of loss and expense reserves and providing actuarial estimates of unpaid claims
  • Determining quarterly forecasts of claim frequency and severity trends to support financial forecasting
  • Presenting and communicating quarterly reserve analysis and trend forecasts to business and senior management
  • Producing and maintaining actuarial documentation, and supporting annual reporting requirements
  • Working collaboratively and sharing resources with other team managers to ensure the commitments of the department are met
  • Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS), ACAS or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to translate analytical results into business solutions
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand context and its impact on all issues, identify key areas requiring particular focus, and successfully execute practical strategies for resolution
  • Ability to build and maintain structured processes with clear controls and documentation
  • Courage, integrity, and willingness to report results in an unbiased manner
