RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Working directly with carriers and internal teams, focus on automation, tools, and process optimization to improve the sales process
  • Act as a liaison between various teams to properly prioritize business needs and coordinate tasks
  • Able to understand and translate technical specifications to non-technical stakeholders; this includes understanding data science in a hands on perspective
  • Train and assist our internal teams with the implementation of carrier requirements
  • Understand the needs of multiple business stakeholders and translate these needs into clear project plans and requirements
  • Solve problems that arise during system deployments by taking ‘in-the-moment’ action to mitigate the risk of not reaching milestones on time
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives, working with internal teams to implement new tools and processes.
  • Lead communications with external partners and reporting to internal partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Preferred Master’s or PHD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field
  • 5-7 years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models,
  • Coding knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis, etc.
  • Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: Python, SLQ, etc.
  • Experience using web services: Redshift, S3, AWS5+ years of experience in project management, product, and/or delivery and operations, preferably within the insurance vertical
  • 2+ years of experience working in the auto insurance industry
  • Ability to own communications with internal and external stakeholders at different levels
