RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be the guardian and promoter of the "one version of the truth" principle.
  • Understand insurance metrics, insurance databases and insurance concept such as onset-offset, earning, exposures, etc.
  • Analyze and understand the various data sources and understand our business processes and make the connection with the data coming of the operational systems of the company.
  • Extract data as required for project analysis or analysis of our book of business using business intelligence tools or programming language (SQL, SPSS, SAS, MicroStrategy) and do the appropriate validations to ensure the extracted data reconciles.
  • Document detailed business requirements including data, security, Dashboards, Visual Insight and Self Service reporting requirements.
  • Define and Document Metric Definitions and Attributes Definitions.
  • Construct, test, reconcile and document business intelligence solutions. Advanced and efficient in using programming language and BI tools.
  • Understand, develop, maintain and improve predictive statistical models used in business intelligence.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4 years of relevant experience.
  • University Degree in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Property and Casualty insurance experience is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly using all mediums within Business Intelligence.
  • Exposure to the use of job related applications, appliances and programming languages (SAS, SQL, Netezza, MicroStrategy) is an asset.
