RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with business functions and Product Owners to conceive and design end-to-end data driven solutions to support the strategic priorities.
  • Create predictive and prescriptive models to support the strategic business goals and evaluate the results and ensure realization of business benefits
  • Responsible for liaising with various business areas on availability and quality of data and technology to ensure use of the best technology to enable the success of the analytics solutions.
  • Contribute to and shape the future of data science by developing and distributing best practices, by mentoring and advising local teams on how to solve data and technical challenges, and by helping to coordinate a global community of experts.
  • Ensure synergies and scalability of exploratory solutions across business capabilities with respect to data science and outcomes and work with business experts, IT and the company to ensure a seamless transition of transformation projects into production.
  • Develop and work on the integration of end-to-end software prototypes, including data engineering, machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms, or custom algorithm development.
  • Measure and track impact of the developed solutions through business KPIs. Present result of analyses to business owners and share knowledge with team members.
  • Investigate new data technologies and collaborate with other departments to adopt state-of-the-art technology in accordance with Group standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in mathematics, statistics, computer science or similar professional experience with focus on data sciences and AI.
  • High programming experience in Python is required. Experience with R is a plus. Object-oriented (java, C++) or functional (Scala) programming languages are a plus.
  • Experience in relational databases.
  • Experience in applying modern machine learning and artificial intelligence models in a business context. Experience in maintaining ML services/API in production a plus.
  • Modern software development experience with CI/CD pipelines is a strong plus. Experience with distributed computing is a plus (e.g. Spark, Hadoop).
  • Track record in developing and deploying advance analytics solutions.
  • Actuarial science or insurance background is a plus.
  • Willingness to think out-of-the box, creative thinking and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to relate business problems to data-driven solutions using machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced, dynamic and international environment.
  • Intercultural sensitivity and international experience.
  • Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear and precise manner to audiences from different departments and at different levels.
  • Experience in leading projects and small, agile project teams is a strong plus.
  • Fluency in English is required, additional languages are a plus.
