RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops and delivers long-term strategic goals for data architecture vision and standards in conjunction with fellow -Architects, data users, program managers, project teams and other key stakeholders.
  • Creates short-term tactical solutions to achieve long-term objectives that contribute to the overall data management roadmap.
  • Oversees solution data-related problems with regards to systems integration, compatibility, and multiple-platform integration.
  • Identifies and develops opportunities for data reuse, migration, or retirement.
  • Works with business users to define technical requirements by performing business analysis, and implements robust, maintainable solutions that meet the business requirements.
  • Accelerates the adoption of new data technologies by jump-starting development of new initiatives by developing proof-of-concepts utilizing emerging technologies.
  • Mentors, provides strong methodology leadership, and works closely with development and implementation teams; and for each phase of a project, works with the project management to identify and mitigate data architecture risks.
  • Ensures that the data architectures and standards are being adhered to through architecture governance and quality assurance processes.
  • Keeps abreast with standards and trends with respect to software architectures, data architectures, data science and design and development concepts.
  • Assesses data related technologies and provides feedback to management as to their quality and appropriateness with respect to the enterprise environment.
  • Works with the business to develop data quality rules for measuring and monitoring the quality of the data; develops data quality control and remediation plan; performs root cause analysis and tracks resolution of data quality issues; utilizes data quality tools and techniques to improve the quality of the data.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in data architecture, advanced analytics or a related field
  • Extensive experience in all levels of data modeling (including conceptual, logical and physical) and enterprise data integration patterns and techniques
  • Hands-on experience with data architecting, data mining, large-scale data modeling, and business requirements gathering/analysis
  • Strong understanding of relational data structures, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Demonstrated expertise with repository creation, and data and information system life cycle methodologies
  • Expertise in Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Data Quality
  • Deep Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise technology stack, SQL and T-SQL
  • Fluency with at least one scripting or programming language such as R, Python or PowerShell
  • Experience with working with public cloud environments like Azure or AWS
  • Advanced analytics experience in the areas of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
  • Hands-on experience with Tableau or PowerBI
  • Strong techniques in data wrangling, profiling and cleansing
  • Comfortable in manipulating, profiling and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources
  • A strong passion for answering hard questions with data
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
