  • Design and build projection models for individual life reinsurance transactions.
  • Investigate and implement process improvements and enhancements
  • Perform model change controls and ensure effective model governance.
  • Lead in the preparation and analysis of reserves, required capital, and financial statements.
  • Perform quarterly valuation on multiple accounting bases and assist in preparation of year end disclosures.
  • Work extensively with large datasets in SQL and R to perform rigorous analysis of data.
  • Apply predictive modeling techniques in R to analyze mortality and lapse experience.
  • Provide on-demand support to other functions
  • Support in the research of emerging accounting and reserving regimes
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 3 to 4 Society of Actuaries exams
  • Experience modeling in AXIS is preferred
  • Strong technical skills including MS Excel/Access or similar database management tool
  • R and SQL database programming skills are desirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Excel
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and juggle with multiple priorities
  • Pro-active self-starter
  • AXIS, SQL, R, Excel, VBA
  • Knowledge of individual life products
  • Business acumen of the life reinsurance industry
