RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support various regional renewable energy analytics capability development projects - including CAT modeling, insurance risk modeling, and enterprise risk modeling
  • Primary focus on Asia and Pacific based renewables strategies
  • Attention to specific insurance risks like construction, property, delayed start-up and business interruption risks
  • Working with internal stakeholders in the renewables, analytics, and advisory teams
  • Deliver analytics capabilities to renewables clients and prospects - supporting current client base and business development - including CAT modeling, insurance risk modeling, and enterprise risk modeling
  • Support regional Asia and global development plan with regional and global renewables team
  • Examples include solar generation risks in the US and Continental Europe
  • General offshore wind capability development with global team
  • Help identify and prioritize new data and analytics ideas with global and regional renewables and data / analytics leaders
  • Help define future data needs that can drive our data collection and storage strategies for renewables
  • Be a part of a global renewables community
  • Supporting global investment in the infrastructure to support energy transition and recognized as a subject matter expert in renewable energy risk quantification and analytics.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7 to 10 years of experience that incorporates the following areas:
  • CAT modeling expertise - specifically with established industry models (RMS, AIR etc.) tools on a regional or global basis across the major perils
  • General analytics expertise - in related fields of actuarial, finance, cat modelling or other disciplines. Working knowledge of stochastic modelling, R, Python, SQL will be a highly advantageous when working in data intensive environments
  • Research and development experience - demonstrated ability to build commercial, natural hazard or other related quantification models from first research principles, with a minimum of 3 years in this field
  • Client and project delivery experience
  • Demonstrated ability to present, communicate and deliver technical content to internal stakeholders and external clients on complex subject matter. Experience in management and leading a team will be a plus.
  • Collaboration experience - working in multi-disciplinary teams of risk engineers, actuaries, catastrophe modellers, brokers and renewable industry experts
