RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Contributing to the definition and maintenance of design standards and building guidelines and best practices for various data and analytics solutions.
  • Providing leadership during the introduction of new technology and ensuring solution designs and target architecture are successfully implemented by delivery teams.
  • Collaborating with business partners to design data and system integrations and ensure alignment of business intelligence standards and strategies.
  • Ensuring the organization is at the forefront of data and analytics trends by conducting research and surveying the market for existing tools, technologies, and solutions.
  • Delivering training on best practices and methodologies, participating in design reviews and proposing improvements to the data and analytics environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Eight years of experience in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Post-secondary degree in Business Intelligence, Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Actuarial or a related discipline.
  • Expert knowledge of Business Intelligence Solution Design and Architecture and BI market tools and solutions.
  • Working knowledge of actuarial and financial models, Information Technologies, analytics functions, and insurance concepts and practices including an understanding of Property and Casualty (P&C) and Life products.
