  • Accountable for the overall performance and people management of the actuarial team
  • Develop appropriate systems, processes and methodologies for analyzing data
  • Obtain a deep understanding of the book of business to explain the key factors underlying the emerging experience and to provide strategic insights to partners
  • Research and apply both traditional and innovative ways to apply accepted actuarial techniques to business issues
  • Coach junior staff and act as a technical specialist and mentor for all team members.
  • Ensure all personal insurance products are developed in line with the necessary standards
  • ACAS or near FCAS
  • 5+ years of personal lines pricing experience or 6+ years of P&C actuarial experience
  • Experience in implementing a Telematics program is highly preferred
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop a team
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data to provide actuarial and business insights on the various books of business
  • Proficient in programming, with experience in SAS, Python, R.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
