RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the data needs of the actuarial department, and other departments as assigned by AVP;
  • Develop, manage, and maintain data flow documentation;
  • Design and develop ad hoc databases as needed;
  • Ensure database processes run as scheduled while identifying areas for process improvement and act upon such improvement over time;
  • Analyze data for quality assurance and report on such as well as recommendation for fixes;
  • Prepare, review and distribute monthly operational reporting to internal and external recipients;
  • Identify and document gaps in data needs and data availability, and propose recommended action to address gaps;
  • Aid Assistant Vice President in development of various key performance metrics; management information reports, dashboard reports etc. as needed to support executive management requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University or college degree in data management, computer science, engineering or actuarial science
  • Extensive knowledge of Office software, database management software and data reporting
  • Experience in database management;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple concurrent projects;
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes in technology and techniques;
  • Ability to be flexible to change;
  • Strong interpersonal skills; and
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • General P&C insurance knowledge/ background; and
  • Experience using GISA/IBC data and exhibits
