RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform account modeling activities
  • Assist underwriters in interpreting catastrophe modeling output and identifying loss drivers to form pricing and risk mitigation decisions
  • Help maintain and track property accumulations and PML exposure
  • Design, build, and implement automation tools
  • Assist in developing Catastrophe Management best practices
  • Research and answer inquiries from management team
  • Drive continuous data quality improvement by utilizing public and third party vendor data
  • Liaison with Actuarial Analytics team
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s in STEM major or related discipline
  • Experience using one of the major vendor catastrophe models. AIR knowledge is preferred.
  • Programming experience using VBA, SQL, R, or SAS
  • Experience in commercial insurance is preferred
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced, high production environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
