  • Pricing, structuring and active marketing of structured prospective and retroactive reinsurance solutions
  • Capital modeling and demonstrate the value-adding effects of our solution range on a diverse set of economic, regulatory and rating capital performance standards.
  • Actuarial assessments of claims reserves and expected volatilities
  • Support transactional due diligence coupled with technical guidance for underwriters and junior underwriters
  • Actively expand our value proposition through originating and executing corporate finance-driven non-life reinsurance and capital markets solutions and establish the company as a preferred partner with clients, brokers and other distribution channels.
  • Supported by the analytics team and our local experts, stay current on regulatory and economic developments as well as adaptations of local solvency regimes.
  • Lead interdisciplinary deal teams and coordinate transactions with clients and brokers in cooperation with the company product experts and the stakeholder community.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage several projects and work effectively as an individual and as part of a team.
  • Support cross functional strategic projects and represent the company as a reliable partner and constant innovator in industry meetings, conferences and client presentations.
  • Membership in the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) and membership in the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Statistics or related field requiring modeling, programming or quantitative analysis. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in the (re-)insurance sector with a track record in pricing structured reinsurance, retroactive reinsurance or insurance risk securitization transactions, or an equivalent background in enterprise risk management analytics, insurance corporate finance and financial modeling.
  • Ability to interpret financial statements along with a sound understanding of insurance risk underwriting and actuarial methods.
  • Sound understanding of international regulatory and accounting standards as well as solvency and rating capital models.
  • Innovative and execution-driven entrepreneurial mind set combined with strong cooperation and communication skills.
  • Experienced as team and project leader with strong project management and networking capabilities.
  • Ability to take on responsibility and work independently, and competence to prioritize.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate in a multi-cultural dynamic work environment.
  • Intellectual curiosity, a strong work ethic and a team player mentality are necessary attributes in order to excel in this role.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel - approximately 40% travel under normal, post-COVID19 conditions.
