  • Perform analyses to establish the capital reserves for all appropriate products and provinces, assess the risks to which the organization is exposed, help establish the reinsurance strategy, and ensure the integrity of the data produced.
  • Develop and maintain various models, analyze their results and produce the reports required by the organization or by regulatory bodies.
  • Help maintain capital and risk management models and establish evaluation assumptions, etc. while making sure that they meet legal and professional industry requirements and ensuring a market watch in that regard.
  • Ensure that the needs of the actuarial departments are considered and met.
  • Participate in your team’s continuous improvement activities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or an appropriate discipline
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Successful completion of at least 2 Canadian Institute of Actuaries exams
  • Specific experience: knowledge of property and casualty insurance, Microsoft Office suite, SAS, VBA
  • English proficiency, both oral and written (for postings in Quebec)
  • Skills required: client focus, adaptability, curiosity and eagerness to learn, teamwork, winning attitude, strong ability to summarize information, time management and communication skills
