RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Help run the RAFM model to prepare and analyze capital management reports and scenario.
  • Develop the experience studies tool and documentation to support the decision-making process on assumption update.
  • Help run the RAFM model to prepare the BMTP result, with appropriate analyze needed and controls.
  • Support other ad hoc projects related to strategic initiatives, capital management, Economic capital, assumption review and BMTP exercise.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Actuarial/Mathematical degree or post-graduate level.
  • 2-3 years’ relevant experience in life insurance industry.
  • Actuarial/Mathematical degree or post-graduate level.
  • Knowledge in computer programming, esp. VBA in Access and Excel.
  • 2 years at least valuation or reporting experience.
  • Experience / knowledge in valuation or reporting experience or economic capital and/or risk-based capital framework.
  • Working knowledge of valuation/reporting, alternative capital.
  • Good time management and thrives working flexibly under sometimes challenging project based timescales.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Good problem solving & analytical skills.
  • Independent, self-motivated and responsible.
  • Strong attention to detail and desire to produce a high quality work product.
  • Strong desire to learn by working on project based new developments.
  • Desired:
  • Actuarial software programming in RAFM/MoSes.
  • Track record of devising methodology and models for implementation of EC.
  • Experience / knowledge in stochastic projection approaches.
  • Proven experience of capital management, including record of leading implementation of specific initiatives in these areas.
  • Experience with IFRS, US GAAP and MVN.
  • Working effectively and cooperatively with others: establishing and maintaining good working relationships.
  • Clearly conveying information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals and groups, verbally and in writing, in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.
  • Able to engage and influence cross functional and external stakeholders and manage a balance between potentially conflicting priorities/considerations.
  • Ability to proactively identify and initiate actions required for the company to achieve its capital requirements.
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills to work across multiple disciplines.
