  • Play a key role in managing capital by working closely with Group Office and local leadership.
  • Lead a team of 4-5 actuaries in regular actuarial valuation and reporting, covering local statutory and embedded value basis.
  • Deputize the Appointed Actuary; in particular, become the subject matter expert in capital management and valuation and lead them independently.
  • Implement a strong capital management framework, covering solvency, cash and liquidity and ensuring the ongoing governance and compliance with the framework.
  • Deliver business value in providing insights arising from actuarial results, as well as highlighting risks in advance to management.
  • Ensure regulatory requirements are being met and establish strong relationships with required authorities such as MAS and LIA.
  • Inspire and develop team members, so as to build a strong team culture as well as a high-performance team.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Qualified / near-qualified actuary with 8-12 years of experience.
  • Very strong technical skills, with some focus on valuation and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent problem solving skills to be able to think out of the box.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly independent to executive tasks and manage team.
  • Track record in leading successful teams will be a bonus.
