  • You will be responsible for developing a network of market and client contacts, enhancing these relationships, monitoring and reporting on market developments, and uncovering and prioritizing business opportunities.
  • You will be responsible for co-ordinating and managing all resources needed to win and retain business.
  • Develop and execute strategy and action plans for focused markets, and be accountable for delivering targeted results and profitability.
  • Manage client relationships, look for new opportunities, manage new opportunities and deliver sustainable and marketable proposals, including negotiating and finalizing treaty terms.
  • Ensure appropriate exposure monitoring, actual-to-expected analysis is complete, ensure experience analysis is completed annually.
  • Help and support prospecting of other clients/opportunities in market including more complex transactions.
  • You have responsibility for the execution and implementation of new transactions, and contributing to the maintenance of in force transactions, ensuring compliance with our obligations by coordinating with our actuarial, accounting and administration teams.
  • You will contribute to the development of expertise and know-how of the team members, and to enhancing company’s profile through conference presentations and work with professional bodies.
  • Qualified Actuary or highly numerate background, and demonstrated business development experience.
  • At least 8-10 years’ experience in life re/insurance, with a proven track record of developing client relationships in the Asia market.
  • Good knowledge of the Asian retail/primary insurance markets particularly Singapore and SEA markets, group markets, financial solutions and regulatory environment.
  • A strong balance of technical excellence and commercial sense.
  • Experience in negotiating, pricing or structuring large reinsurance transactions is desirable.
  • Strong communicator externally with clients as well as internally, in English at a business level is essential; additional Mandarin language skills are preferred.
  • You are a technically strong self-starter with an ability to demonstrate excellent commercial sense and professional leadership. Creativity, curiosity balanced with pragmatism are desirable attitudes.
  • You enjoy collaborating with your colleagues as well as working on your own. Your preference is to be part of an international and multicultural environment, handling diverse tasks, yet always ready to support the team and meet the business needs
