RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform regular rate adequacy analyses for key portfolios across the region and update rating tools base on the findings.
  • Coordinate, perform and lead annual P&C portfolio review including communication of findings to Latin American and HO management.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor selected KPI and progress on key tactic/strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate and guide local pricing actuaries as applicable.
  • Estimate prospective accident year loss ratios as required by the annual planning process.
  • Produce annual business plan documentation in agreement of actuarial standards and SOX internal requirements.
  • Manage a small team and support the development of actuarial talent in the region.
  • Communicate and interact with personnel in underwriting, claims and finance areas were actuarial information is needed for decision-making. Interaction with the actuarial team at the home office is required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 8+ years of experience in reserving and/or pricing for property and casualty products in USA or Latin America insurance markets.
  • ACAS and/or MAAA - FCAS a plus.
  • Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences or related fields.
  • Good communication skills (written and oral); capable to influence in decisions; and a good “problem solving” attitude.
  • Travel is required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English).
