RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Providing strong analytical and technical support on mid to large clients.
  • Preparing client facing reports such as renewals, financial statements, marketing, and plan design and in accordance with applicable reporting schedules and reporting templates.
  • Conducting marketing; including preparing and submitting specifications to insurance carriers, answering questions, reviewing, and providing technical analysis and recommendations on marketing responses, and preparing marketing reports.
  • Peer reviewing and providing feedback on work for team members.
  • Preparing experience reports including projections for renewals.
  • Maintaining and updating client files.
  • Providing excellent customer service to our clients via telephone or email to assess and fulfil their employee benefits requirements.
  • Coordinating with insurance carriers as required.
  • Conducts industry research on issues and trends affecting client benefits plans.
  • Assists with special projects, as required.
  • Attends and participates in client meetings on occasion.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-Secondary Education and/or related courses in group benefits or actuarial studies.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the group insurance industry, with prior consulting and/or insurance background preferred.
  • LLQP an asset.
  • Solid knowledge of Canadian benefits industry including group benefits financial underwriting requirements for all types of employee benefits plans.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong time management, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong team player and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and follow up skills.
