RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee and provide technical expertise to a group of actuaries working towards implementation of IFRS17.
  • Develop a communication & training strategy of actuarial related impact of IFRS17.
  • Provide appropriate recommendations based on actuarial analyses and interpret reports based on work of actuarial analysts in order to improve products and services.
  • Represent actuarial services in working groups or committees as needed.
  • Represent the company in discussions/negotiations with regulatory bodies & industry committee.
  • Facilitate teamwork and guide the training and professional development of the team members.
  • Ad hoc requests on various Corporate Actuarial topics.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science.
  • ACAS or FCAS designation is an asset.
  • Minimum of 7 years of actuarial experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in effectively working within a multisite team and collaborating with several business partners.
  • Sense of accountability and ability to work under pressure.
  • Good change management as well as tact and diplomacy.
  • Customer-driven.
  • Working proficiency in English is required; bilingualism is an asset.
