RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Use primary and secondary data sources to construct and maintain databases.
  • Transform data into information, and information into insights that will ultimately produce new and creative analytic solutions as part of our core deliverables.
  • Work with cross-functional team members in identifying and prioritizing actionable, high-impact insights across a variety of core business areas. This will allow you to gain exposure to all aspects of insurance operations with respect to claims, underwriting and pricing, as well as general areas of business operations such as human resource and marketing.
  • Work hand in hand with predictive modelers in developing models and identifying strategies that improve the company’s bottom line.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Operations Research, Optimization, Economics, Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline.
  • A strong understanding of clustering, classification techniques and predictive modeling concepts.
  • Strong technical skills in SAS and SQL.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of data manipulation and statistical analysis experience, preferably working with large datasets.
  • Technical expertise regarding different data models, database design, data mining and segmentation techniques.
  • Analytical, efficient problem solver and attention to detail with an ability to work independently and creatively.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, experience of R, Python, Tableau or Visual Basic.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
