RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform ratemaking and product review mandates for commercial lines of business; make quality recommendations and provide implementation support when required.
  • Develop, modify, and validate predictive statistical models; interpret the model results to managers and senior management.
  • Provide actuarial support for new product development and assist in developing new system testing strategies.
  • Conduct analysis to address insurance issues; propose quality solutions and provide implementation support when required.
  • Develop, validate, and maintain actuarial reports to meet business needs.
  • Monitor the key performance indicators of the Commercial portfolio, and report to management as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, handling special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree in Actuarial Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematics or other related field of study.
  • Pursuing ACAS or FCAS.
  • Good knowledge with VBA, SAS, R, or Python.
  • Work experience in insurance or related field is an asset.
  • Experience with modeling software such as Emblem, Classifier or Radar is an asset.
