  • Work in Enterprise Risk Division for General Insurance.
  • Will be responsible for executing risk deliverables for the Company, Canada Branch and certain other entities.
  • Will be a credible discussion partner with local senior management and the Chief Agent on risk related issues, and be actively engaged with other assurance functions to enable and support an integrated assurance framework.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related discipline - finance, actuarial, risk, etc.
  • Preferred:
  • 7 or more years of experience in general insurance and or risk management.
  • Advanced degree and/or professional certification in related discipline strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSFI regulatory compliance risk and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior management.
  • Annual risk assessments for Canada business unit/s, including planning, execution, documentation and quarterly status reporting.
  • Quarterly risk management activities - risk policy adherence monitoring, action item updates, participation in Senior Leadership Team meetings, coordination of Risk Committee meetings, quarterly risk management report to Chief Agent, participation in selected management committees.
  • Annual Own Risk and Solvency Assessment reporting - coordination of response across multiple disciplines, primary responsibility for development of draft and final reports.
  • Collaboration with risk management colleagues on regional priorities, including risk assessments for other entities, select assurance-related committees, management of local insurance programs, etc.
  • Industry and professional thought leadership and continuing education activities - industry groups, trade associations, professional organizations.
  • Execution of other ad hoc risk management priorities - operational risk assessments, project risk assessments, special projects, etc.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
