RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Completing validations to ensure accuracy, completeness, interpretability and reconciliation of data and utilizing descriptive analytics to attain extensive knowledge of claims data issues, impacts and potential solutions.
  • Defining and developing methodologies for conducting trend analysis and monitoring claims data, and leading the design of monitoring tools, performance indicators and dashboards for effective claims portfolio management.
  • Partnering and collaborating with Claims leaders to convey the importance, value and approach for embedding analytics into decision making by providing tools, strategies, insights, coaching and training.
  • Building strong partnerships with various business partners to optimize portfolio management.
  • Leading projects to ensure effective execution and implementation, including expanding and building on project plans that contribute to strategic organizational goals, providing business and technical orientation to team members and tracking task completion.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • You have seven years of experience in a statistical, actuarial, financial or related analytics role.
  • You have a post-secondary degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related discipline.
  • You have excellent analytical skills, including demonstrated experience appropriately evaluating and resolving complex problems.
  • You have an innovative mindset to improve operational efficiencies and ability to influence change, with a primary focus on client needs.  
  • You use critical thinking skills to recognize assumptions, evaluate arguments, draw conclusions and proactively propose solutions.
  • You have strong communication skills to clearly convey messages and explore diverse points of view. 
  • You build trusting relationships and provide guidance to support the development of colleagues.
