RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrate creative thinking and innovation in the field of data management that enables enterprise wide analytics.
  • Develop and implement best practices in the field of data consolidation, data integrity, and data base/ data mart design.
  • Develop and launch processes to assemble complex datasets.
  • Ability to transform and curate data from multiple sources for the purpose of visualization and advanced analytics.
  • Gather and define business requirements to effectively to support data exploration and discovery efforts from various sources.
  • Apply learnings to become a champion in building a long-term data strategy.
  • Facilitate communication with business representatives to determine clear understanding of business problems.
  • Work closely with data professionals within the business to build data engineering solutions for data concepts that fuel a host of analytic models.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and work within cross functional teams.
  • Build infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.
  • Support data governance and data quality pipelines by creating policies to ensure data integrity.
  • Support data management strategies and initiatives that will meet the long-term data needs of the organization.
  • Design, create, and implement visualization layers / dashboards using Tableau or other data visualization tools.
  • Work with large amounts of financial and operational data to create complex statistical observations into succinct and clear messaging to drive insights for senior leadership.
  • Enable stakeholders with the right information to make key decisions; provide accurate reports and presentations of key findings.
  • Be a critical thinking partner with leadership in the organization to further develop our data management practices and help design and develop our long term data management strategy.
  • Work as part of centralized analytics function, with the opportunity to engage and interact with all functional areas of the organization.
  • Work with other members of the Data Insights & Analytics team to assist in defining project parameters.
  • Produce insights in a manner that business users can clearly understand.
  • Support the generation of new business by participating in prospecting opportunities with new clients as part of a broader team.
  • Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Communicate results and educate others through reports and presentations.
  • Stay abreast of analytics and business intelligence trends.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in an analytics-driven role, problem solving and developing data stores and designing reports for business users.
  • Experience with the following: proven conceptual thinking that addresses the needs of data engineering and data steward aspects of the broader data management discipline.
  • Advance knowledge in SQL and familiarity with a variety of databases.
  • Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: such as Python, Java, C++ etc.
  • Data visualization / data manipulation tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of design and analysis methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of Business Intelligence.
  • Client focused and proven relationship building skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Creative and Innovative mindset.
  • Dealing with ambiguity, can effectively cope with change and shift gears comfortably.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to process and manipulate large amounts of data.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Nice to have:
  • Masters or PhD in mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science or related field.
  • Understanding of group benefits and insurance industry.
  • Experience developing client facing visualizations.
  • Demonstrated success in managing client issues and relationships, some experience in growing relationships with current clients.
  • Tableau Desktop Certified Associate certification.
  • Experience using data wrangling tools such as Alteryx.
  • Previous experiences in data engineering, data stewardship, ETL development and/or building data marts for analytics.
  • Experience working with CRM tools such as Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Experience working with NPS tools such as Qualtrics.
  • Bilingualism.
