RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintaining excellent knowledge of claims databases, efficiently extracting data using Business Intelligence tools or programming languages and conducting the appropriate validations to ensure accuracy, completeness, interpretability and reconciliation of data.
  • Utilizing descriptive analytics to attain diversified knowledge of claims data issues, impacts and potential solutions, including identifying and monitoring claims data trends and designing dashboards for effective claims portfolio management.
  • Providing guidance, support and training to the Claims team on the use of dashboards and self-serve tools and assisting leaders in accessing and analyzing data to inform business decisions.
  • Performing analysis to support claim reviews and compliance audits.
  • Supporting the development, measurement, monitoring, and reporting of key performance metrics to support planning and execution assessments.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • You have five years of experience in a statistical, actuarial, financial or related analytics role.
  • You have a post-secondary degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related discipline.
  • You have advanced analytical skills, including demonstrated experience appropriately evaluating and resolving complex problems.
  • You have an innovative mindset to improve operational efficiencies and ability to influence change, with a primary focus on client needs.  
  • You use critical thinking skills to recognize assumptions, evaluate arguments, draw conclusions and proactively propose solutions.
  • You have strong communication skills to clearly convey messages and explore diverse points of view. 
  • You build trusting relationships and provide guidance to support the development of colleagues.
