RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain and operate SAS/Python databases and data systems, ensuring timely and accurate production of claims valuation data.
  • Develop enhancements in existing data systems and processes by bringing in additional data sources.
  • Work closely with the Senior Data Analyst in new initiatives to improve the automation, consistency, and quality of other data production processes managed by the actuarial team.
  • Support the actuarial team on data related queries, reports, and remediation on identified issues.
  • Support the IFRS17 project in the building of new data infrastructure and solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics or other related field.
  • Two or more years of professional experience in analysis, programming, data mining, or data management.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of computer skills, including SAS, Excel, and VBA.
  • Formal training or experience in Python, Qlik, and IBM Cognos TM1 is beneficial.
  • Experience in Insurance industry an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail with a process oriented mindset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to work well within a large team.
