  • Analysis of catastrophic risk of specific trades and deals, including running cat and underwriting costing tools.
  • Compilation of trading and market data, pricing information and bond reports.
  • Development and implementation of tools used by the desk for trading and portfolio construction and management.
  • Collaborate closely with middle office, back office and risk management for various process-related tasks.
  • Support team with power point presentations, desk and market reports.
  • Successfully completed university degree, preferably in a technical, engineering or science degree.
  • 1-3 yrs work experience.
  • Strong quantitative, statistical and analytical skills and can focus on details without losing track of the bigger picture.
  • Strong interest in/motivation to learn about natural catastrophes and insurance/reinsurance.
  • Experience or interest in learning nat cat modelling, underwriting and portfolio management.
  • Advanced experienced with Excel; programming skills is a plus.
  • Approaches problems with curiosity and flexibility, is a fast learner.
  • Team-player, eager to contribute actively to the overall team spirit, but with an aptitude to work independently and proactively.
  • Ability and enthusiasm to work in a global and multicultural environment.
  • Aptitude to express him-/herself effectively in one-on-one conversations and small groups.
  • Mature & self-confident; able to work with business partners or senior colleagues.
  • Excellent oral and written English skills.
