RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implement and support Business Intelligence solutions for the organization.
  • Gather business requirements, develop logical solutions, assess implementation alternatives and formulate overall design approaches.
  • Work closely with key business stakeholders across all business functions to determine the best solution possible.
  • Gather, store and model the data for analytics and reporting purposes.
  • Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of BI reporting processes as needed as determined by the business needs.
  • To create and maintain technical designs and specifications of reports and dashboards.
  • To create functional conceptual mock-ups of reports and dashboards.
  • Assist with the performance testing of reports, dashboards, and queries.
  • To provide assistance and guidance during the QA & UAT phases to quickly confirm the validity of potential issues and to determine the root cause and best resolution of verified issues.
  • Participate in rotation of after-hours support.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Insurance Industry experience preferred.
  • 3- 5+ years of Tableau experience required.
  • 3 - 5+ years of professional work experience as a Business Intelligence developer implementing successful enterprise BI solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL language.
  • Proven working database knowledge.
  • Ability to communicate well in all settings.
  • Able to work within an Agile SDLC.
  • Ability to work with shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a demonstrated passion for helping internal customers in order to achieve the full potential for the organization.
  • Must be comfortable expressing opinions, but also open to receiving constructive feedback.
  • Verbal and written English language proficiency.
  • Ability to read analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedure, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write report, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and general public.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate the company Behaviors and Innovation Behaviors.
  • Must be able to tolerate frequent disruptions in a highly collaborative work environment.
  • Some travel may be required but is limited.
  • Able to work outside of normal business hours when called upon.
  • Able and willing to participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods of time.
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
