RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Sets the strategic direction for the commercial data & analytics product platform while developing the strategic roadmap in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
  • Identifies the strategic product implications and opportunities resulting from internal strategies and change initiatives.
  • Responsible for execution of the strategy and driving geographic expansion and utilization of data solution platform globally.
  • Executes individual and integrated product strategies across the portfolio to ensure revenue, market share growth and proper core positioning and messaging for the products.
  • Leads and directs the focus on strategic product decisions and understanding of current and future competitive threats.
  • Manage a dynamic intake and prioritization process to develop product features and release roadmap based on business targets, in-depth data analysis, and a clear understanding of client and market needs.
  • Responsible for new data acquisition, ingestion, and governance as it pertains to data solution platform and product opportunities.
  • Leads partnership opportunities that may yield data and analytic opportunities and acquisition of new data assets.
  • Participates in product development initiatives with distributed product owners to effectively develop and commercialize new market revenue opportunities.
  • Defines product initiative requirements to support prototyping and scale-up; develop business cases including resource needs and cost.
  • Prepares launch plans and ensures successful go-to-market execution with an emphasis on the measurement of and attainment of success criteria.
  • Builds a product portfolio and develop in concert with regional staff cross promotion plans to meet sales objectives.
  • Continually measures success against Key Performance Indicators.
  • Performs market and competitive analysis and stay abreast of new developments to ensure accurate and timely input into the market and product planning process.
  • Monitors market trends and competitor activity and engage regional staff and in industry events to promote products and monitor market activity.
  • Develops key marketing messages and the marketing plan in collaboration with marketing and regional colleagues.
  • Enhances sales engagements by participating in sales visits and providing content for training and sales materials that enable global staff.
  • Leads the internal process to define and train the sales group on product roadmaps, industry trends and competitors.
  • Provides sales support by assessing client needs and educating client on respective products and responding to RFPs and RFIs.
  • Leads a multidisciplinary team and enables the team to be successful by removing obstacles and developing strategic relationships throughout the business.
  • Partner with engineering/technology, product management, and marketing and research leaders throughout completion of milestones.
  • Manage the end to end lifecycle of complex products from conception through launch. Strategize and execute on growth initiatives in operating live products and capabilities.
  • Promote cross-team and cross-organizational knowledge sharing through multiple forums and communication channels.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of related experience including data and analytics, data monetization, data science, product development, and/or software engineering.
  • Experience in life, annuity, health insurance or risk management a plus.
  • Five to ten years of lifecycle product management experience with a proven track record of developing and launching products and services.
  • Proven ability to execute data strategies that pertain to how data will be generated, collected, consumed and monetized. Superior grasp of data architecture, software engineering, and data science techniques.
  • Expert ability to use data generated by a product to improve the product, algorithmically or otherwise.
  • Experience with evaluation of technical design trade-offs in pursuit of effective commercialization.
  • Highly advanced ability to liaise with external and internal individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines as it pertains to data platform and product commercialization.
  • Product portfolio management experience highly desirable.
  • Strong project management and execution skills. Expert ability to operate at the intersection of business, engineering, and client experience.
  • Demonstrates strong customer focus and ability to analyze customer problems and market trends.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and demonstrated presentation skills.
  • Exceptional people management skills, demonstrating the ability to work with global, cross-functional teams. Ability to lead functional teams or project teams with significant resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
  • Expert ability in implementing change within an organization, ensuring understanding, participation, and ownership.
  • Highly advanced oral and written communication skills including presentation skills, demonstrating the ability to convey information in a way that is meaningful and well received by stakeholders and team members.
  • Highly advanced ability to adapt new methods and work under tight deadlines.
  • Expert skills in managing multiple products.
  • Highly advanced ability to make timely and effective decisions and produce results through strategic planning and the implementation and evaluation of programs and policies.
  • Highly advanced ability to implement vision and goals that result in achievement and success through exceptional leadership skills, collaboration, creative thinking, maintaining focus, and persistence, even under adversity, while maintaining the confidence of associates and customers.
  • Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions. May perform ad hoc analytics, including the ability to use Python, SQL and visualization software.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Preferred:
