  • Serve as a key member of the company’s International leadership community, contributing to the development and implementation of the organization’s strategy.
  • Responsible for all the company International actuarial finance work, other than statutory valuation and RBC including: IFRS valuation, LICAT capital valuation, Actuarial projections and strategic/business analysis, VNB reporting, SOE reporting, EaR reporting, Model development and governance, Experience studies, Assumption setting / ACMA, IFRS 17 lead.
  • Build and maintain productive working relationships with Regional Office and Corporate partners in support of achieving business objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with key functional partners such as finance, risk management, product and ALM.
  • Perform duties of a general nature as may be required from time to time by management.
  • 10+ years’ in-depth experience in life insurance actuarial practice, including valuation, analytics, pricing, and financial reporting. Experience in the global HNW life insurance market a plus.
  • FSA, FCIA or equivalent actuarial designation with a university degree.
  • Strong, hands-on technical, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized and able to manage multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy while working toward challenging goals and deadlines.
  • A strong team player with demonstrated experience collaborating with others and in managing teams effectively.
  • Takes accountability for own performance and that of the team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently and clearly communicate complex issues to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong influencing skills to engage senior leadership and partners.
  • Willingness to work some non-standard hours, oftentimes having to liaise with other Company offices after regular office hours, due to these being located in other time zones.
