RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists in consultative opportunities with clients in order to monetize company based data analytics.
  • Works collaboratively with the VP Research Analytics in constructing the data analytics tool-kit enhancing our statistically based research capabilities.
  • Works collaboratively with underwriting, pricing, valuation, and other business units on enhancing our data analytics toolkit.
  • Works collaboratively with the VP Research Analytics in constructing all decrement based assumptions for both NB and EB applications.
  • Works collaboratively with applicable business units in constructing all decrement based assumptions for both NB and EB applications for non-life business.
  • Coordinates with underwriting and pricing in expanding statistically based analytics regarding AUW programs.
  • Assists in training key employees on the data analytics toolkit and troubleshoot issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science or comparable quantitative field.
  • ASA Designation for Associate level; FSA designation for Sr. Actuary/AVP level.
  • Associate role - Minimum of 3 years of experience in a data science role.
  • Sr. Actuary/AVP role – Minimum of 7 years of experience in a data science role.
  • Strong working knowledge of statistical and database languages as well as cloud based infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience doing industry presentations.
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data including understanding and dealing with informational gaps.
