RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Providing descriptive analytics and demonstrating an in-depth understanding of the data to support strategy development, drive insights and identify opportunities and obstacles to successfully achieve department objectives.
  • Representing Distribution on initiatives by providing analysis, input and developing stories to explain the impact of recently implemented changes.
  • Developing, applying and supporting a standardized due diligence approach and policy rollover guideline for broker acquisition opportunities.
  • Training and coaching stakeholder teams to support the execution of new or revised metrics and the effective use of dashboards.
  • Utilizing a consistent approach to analyze the property inspections program, including identifying insights on program impact and recommending changes to increase effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • You have five years of experience in insurance sales, product design, statistics, actuarial, finance or a related field.
  • You have post-secondary education in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline.
  • You have or are actively working towards the Chartered Insurance Professional or Life Office Management Association designation/s.
  • You have an in-depth understanding of Business Intelligence tools and the application of analytics to Property &Casualty Insurance and financial services products.
  • You have an innovative mindset to improve operational efficiencies and ability to influence change, with a primary focus on client needs.  
  • You use critical thinking skills to recognize assumptions, evaluate arguments, draw conclusions and proactively propose solutions.
  • You have strong communication skills to clearly convey messages and explore diverse points of view. 
  • You build trusting relationships and provide guidance to support the development of colleagues.
