RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist the Valuation and Reporting team in all areas of reporting and valuation work.
  • Administer the reinsurance treaty for the Life business which includes maintaining the reinsurance system, ensuring timely settlement of premiums and recoveries, and providing support to the retention limit review exercise.
  • Develop and maintain actuarial Prophet system, maintain model integrity and appropriate model documentation.
  • Assist the department to conduct experience studies, formulating suitable basis for expense allocation, UL crediting rate, investment return, as well as other valuation and pricing assumptions.
  • Conduct annual product profitability review on the supportability and profitability of existing products.
  • Assist the department in the management of participating business, including conducting bonus investigation, recommendation and implementation.
  • Assist to develop, maintain, and ensuring the actuarial models used for the above activities are accurate, efficient and well documented.
  • Assist the team in the annual data validation exercise to ensure accuracy of valuation data.
  • Participate in ORSA stress test.
  • Provide some guidance and assistance to review the work of junior staff.
  • Assist in any ad-hoc actuarial investigations and corporate initiatives from time to time.
  • Any other project/work assigned by the company.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Min 3-4 years’ experience in Life valuation.
  • Good knowledge of Singapore statutory reporting, RBC2, and/or embedded value reporting.
  • IFRS17 knowledge will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in Prophet modeling, strong Microsoft Excel and modeling skills.
  • Excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good progress of Actuarial qualifications.
  • Universal life valuation experience will be an advantage.
  • Self-motivated and positive working attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
